Pages of Fall

IMG_4023

Old Books with hard back colors that match the Season are a great way to incorporate decor into your home. I went on a mission to find some tattered books and here were my finds. My Favorite being “If a Pirate I Must Be…” How perfect is that for Halloween? And the mini Shakespeare book fits perfectly in the sitting room among all of my fall decor. It is the perfect read while sipping a cup of tea. So go meander through your old books, stack them one on top of the other, place them on a pedestal or under a bell jar and add a glittery pumpkin, and tada a perfect Halloween or Harvest pieces of decor.

Glittery Details

IMG_4001

There is something about crowns, queens, and glitter which makes me feel that those things should be apart of every season. Maybe it is because I believe that all women are queens in their own unique way. I hope you enjoy the “Harvest Queen” crowns I have fashioned for the queen in you, along with other fall queen items.

This pumpkin is full of glitter, crowns and a personalized queen banner. I can just imagine it displayed on a desk, a cluster of them sitting on the tops of candle holders of varying heights, or passed out to guests at a glittery fall tea.

Autumns Welcome

Fall is my favorite time of year. Leaves change colors, pumpkins begin to fill gardens, spicy aromas fill the air, and cozy blankets, sweaters and boots begin to adorn those around us.

During the harvest season I am reminded of favorite past times such as my mother dressing her girls in matching costumes for harvest festivals, bobbing for apples, making persimmon cookies, carving pumpkins, and being amazed by my dad’s largest pumpkin he grew that year; roasting pumpkin seeds, cozing up next to a crackling fire, and enjoying warm moments with family and friends generally with a cup of tea in hand.

Also during the season of fall comes the changing of decor in ones home. Some choose black, grey and oranges to mark the approaching of Halloween; while others choose gold, cream, brown and oranges to mark the celebration of Harvest. However you choose to decorate your home our hope is that you will enjoy the many creations we have created just for you.

As the busy days of summer come to an end take still moments to reflect on the gifts that you have been blessed with. The greatest gifts of all being love, family and cherished friends. Take time to thank the Lord for his daily blessings, call an old friend, cuddle up with someone special and remind them of your appreciation for them, create something new, and be thankful for each day.

May your harvest be full and your home be blessed!
